Sweet Onion Meatballs
Ingredients:
- 1 32-oz package frozen Italian meatballs (fully cooked)
- 1 Vidalia onion, chopped
- ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 12-oz beer (or nonalcoholic beer – your choice)
- Hoagie or Ciabatta rolls
- Swiss cheese
You’ll also need:
- Slow cooker/Crock Pot
- Slow cooker liner for easy clean up
- Cutting board and sharp knife
- Measuring cups
- An appetite!
Directions:
- Line the slow cooker with the liner.
- Chop onion.
- Add in meatballs, onion, brown sugar, and onion soup mix. Pour the bear over the entire mixture.
- Put the lid on and cook at low heat for 4-6 hours.
- Serve with Ciabatta bread or on hoagie rolls, topped with Swiss cheese.
